Evo 8/9 Front Seat Nuts

Evo 8/9 Front Seat Nuts

Anyone know what these are? I brought it to a do it best place and they were perplexed, didn't have anything that matched. Their best guess was an 8mm 1.25, whatever that means. Anyone confirm?

I'm trying to get replacement nuts without the rounded top so I can scoot my chair forward on these binary brackets

correct size: M10-1.25

And with these nuts, the seats now DO pull all the way forward.

8x1.25 is a likely size, they use that size bolt on the front radiator brackets so you can pull one of those off and test easily

boltdepot.com has a ton of bolts, you could always order like 20 different ones + shipping for $20 or so and test them all out

would it be all right to replace the oem bolts with a class 10 m8x1.25 & washer?

haha I am glad some one else is doing this. I went to the local hardware store they are the 8mm 1.25 which is not a typical size for a hardwares store to have. They had a few nylock ones so I went that direction with a washer.

are you doing this because you have the binary engineering brackets too? how is it working for you?

I'm using the OEM hardware with the Binary Brackets without issue, why the need to change?

can't pull the seat forward as far as I'd like/as far forward as stock goes, it hits the OEM nut.

Oh.

I'm 6'2", so that explains why I'm not having this issue.

pretty much. I'm 5'11 but my legs are relatively short. I'm actually fine at the position I can pull it forward to, but if anyone else tries to drive the car there could be issues. Pull your seat as far forward as you can until it reaches a stop. It should hit the rounded top of the OEM nut

does anyone have any idea the class/property of the OEM? Anyway as far as aftermarket goes I'm not seeing much common above class 10, I have to assume that'll work

Are you talking about steel grade? I've seen OEM run from 4-7.

think so. i guess class 8 will do then, not sure what problems using 8 or 10 would cause. just want the seats bolted down nice and tight
