The ONLY way to go...
I'm 57 years old, started off with (first Japanese car that is) a new 1986 Mitsubishi Starion LE 'Flat Fender', traded that in for the lethal 1989 Starion ESI-R 'Wide Body' 2.6 Liter, which I still own since new. Bought my 2006 Evo IX-MR new, and will never sell these two cars! I'm a lifer...

I got smoked a long time ago by a white 89 Starion in Lincoln, NE. Older dude. Think he was a doctor? Humbling.

Let me see...started out with a 98 eclipse rs when I was into the car show thing, got old cause the wife didnt understand the whole two day car shows with a hotel so that ended quick! Next was an 03 350z performance once I bought an exhaust from Steeln I was broke, then when I did the trans upgrade that the Zs were bad for the wife complained about that. LUCKY for me when I was getting the z worked on I found a 03 BBY evo...traded the Z for it a week later. A year goes by was in love, smile from ear to ear...wrecked the evo. All I am saying about that is take it to the track pay $15 bucks to run, there is a light at the end who told you who won. Tried to look hard to replace the evo......yep no luck now I have an 03 apex silver evo and #18 on the fastest stock appearing turbo thread, with an Old school (47lbs) not HTA running 11.64@119mph. YES shes a keeper.

1994 Cavalier, 1994 or 95 F-150, 2002 SVT Ford Focus that I put a ProCharger on (made 300fwhp) should have kept that car it was fun, 2000 Dodge Dakota, 2006 Dodge Ram, 2005 SRT-10 Ram, 2006 Saab 9-3T (still own this buy my dad drives it and pays me, was originally for my now-ex wife), 2014 Jetta SE 1.8T (my DD after I traded in my SRT), and 2003 Evo 8. So 9 cars since I was 16, I'm 29 now.

I'm 42. My wife hates my nine with a passion. She has been trying to convince me to by a new ZO6 but I kinda feel the vette is just as juvenile as the EVO.
If I decided to "grow up" per say I would probably entertain an M4 or IS-F.
Thankfully my EVO is only a toy at this point. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with all the creature comforts that I daily drive.

I'd consider a GTR, but still like the Evo for being unique.
I'd imagine at some point the love will wear, we'll see.

30 here, did a short tour with Civic hatchs, then a 1g dsm, celica, civic, saabaru, and Evo. I honestly wanted an Evo every since 03 & the first viii was released. I could just never afford one. Now that I have it, I dont see me getting ride of it!

I like the GT-R as well... After seeing what it costs to maintain them, that idea died. The performance of the Evo is impossible to beat for the money.

Nice to see several other Original owners here as well. I've had my VIII for about 10 years now. Wanted an Evo from the time they were announced and obviously growing up outside the US we had them there. Got lucky that the car came to the US my junior year of college and took my first paycheck when I graduated the next year to the dealership to buy one.
Its always been a plan to have it as a track car. Will pick up my buddy's X as an DD (particularly since its the last version) and past that keep it until I can afford to track a 911 Turbo or GT3

31, original owner, 120k miles. I went through a lot of trouble to get it, and I'm way too attached to ever sell it haha. The first car I bought was a 93 talon tsi awd. I miss that car. I think my next car will be an air-cooled 911
