go to Modern Automotive Performance, they have their silicone intake for 99 and then after adding the squirrelly maf adapter and the perrin foam filter its like 168 for the full intake, you can add t-bolt clamps for another 5 bucks too.

I agree, can't go wrong with ETS . The Perrin full kit has nice fit and finish but is a very tight fit and the filter on mine didn't fit the bracket too well. I will be switching out for a Monster Sport open element with cold air inlet, I really like how that kit looks in the engine bay.

For me it was between the Perrin Intake and the ETS Intake. I had a tough time deciding between the two but what sold it for me was the Air Filter article where the Perrin filter was deemed the best and the mounting bracket. I track my car pretty hard and just the security knowing its mounted to the chassis is great peace of mind. Yeah it is kind of a tight fit but at least its not going anywhere. Another thing I like about the Perrin Intake mounting bracket is it gave me a nice little place to mount my Grimmspeed 3 port BCS to.

What about just runnin one of these?
http://www.maperformance.com/speed-density-sensor-package-for-evo-8-9.html

With a speed density intake? Seems kinda cheap
And heard it makes the car runn in general better smoother idle and ect with the speed density setup

Ps:also was looking for somthing under 300

This will save you a couple hundred and be good to 400 + whp with stock intake pipe. Use what you saved for other flow mods. Unless you just like purty thangs

That's what I use inside a modded factory airbox.

OP, don't get hung-up on posted claims. It'll lead you nowhere. The best intake is the one you're tuned for. Good luck.

What he said

I think this the filer - http://www.maperformance.com/squirre...i-evo-8-9.html

I have the HKS Right , its good , but it has bad Filter Quality , it lets too much dirt pass

Also you might want to check a tune of the car without the MAF Sesnor and change the Map sensor to another better one.

One you start changing parts the MAF start making problem even with Tune
