So what will feel better as in gains and sound this setup you posted or just a drop in would be just as good?

This is exactly what I have been running for the past 3-4 years. No need to replace the stock tube. It does perfectly fine for evos with ~400hp. The only thing I did was made a bracket out of aluminum to keep the whole intake assembly supported so it didn't sit on my intercooler pipe.
