The car is modded to the hilt with 126,000 miles on the clock. You run E85, so there's no telling how long all seals will last. Not sure that's what the OP is looking for.

I'm looking for longevity and a little bit of power. I would be happy with around 350WHP. Sorry SD your car is something I would not consider.

you call that modded to the hilt? I cant see the pics, but I think I have seen his car before. If I was in the market, I would look into it. im not into buying modded cars, but his is really boltons...this is why I wouldnt put my car up because of people that act like modded cars are "always" going to be problems

You think you've seen the car. That's certainly credible.

That's because they will have problems that will cost the new owner. Again, unless there's a revision in the OP's desire, he doesn't seem to be looking for a mucked-up project.

On a IX, all you need is an exhaust, a boost controller, and a good tune. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the latter. The car will be as reliable as stock, and run better than it did new. It's a win-win proposition. Once you go further, the win-win ends.

Keep in mind, the tune will make or break the driving experience.

For the record, we got my wife's IX MR (SE adds, 08/2006), 100% stock with 20,065 miles on it for $25k. (And yes we know it wasn't pieced back together because we bought it from someone very reputable in the industry)

That's actually a very good price migs. I could easily see an evo with that mileage and condition priced at 28k in the for sale forums.

around 25k is what you can probably expect to pay for a clean ix. I would be weary of any evo ix under 20k as there's probably a reason why its priced cheap, 25k seem to be the norm asking from what ive seen for clean ixs. anything over 28 is just to high imo and just over priced at that point. unless Very low miles and unmodded.

Tell that to your old transfer case.

You're the one trying to confront me, not the other way around. This must be my turn to laugh, but none of this is funny. Sad, sure. We remember you.

Buying a used Evo is crap shoot. I've always told people to have 5k available to fix stuff that may go wrong shortly after ownership.

I bought my bone stock 2005 SSL with 11,500 miles, one year ago, for $21k, in near new condition. Be patient, keep looking. Do not buy a Subaru.
