Not Performing As it Should.

So I recently bought a 2003 evo 8.
I dont feel it should perform how it is..
The car sort of struggles to go past 6000rpm while driving and it starts hopping..
The boost gauge hisses while boosting and I can also hear some hissing sound on the intake manifold.. I blocked the hole to the boost gauge,, what hose is that behind the intake manifold? and any tips on stuff I can troubleshoot? Diagnosis brings no trouble code.

Sounds like the typical boost leak symptoms. Get yourself a boost leak tester and go from there, simple to do.
