As usual this is digressing. What are some hard numbers owners are seeing for their total cost of ownership ammortized per annum? Over the first year, how much have you layed out in funds? monthly payments - lease/note, maintenance, registration, inspection, gas, tires, oil, race fuel, mods, etc. What are actual expenses so far after a year of ownership?

If you use the total car payment as a cost of ownership you must recapture the money you receive when you sell the car to determine real cost of ownership. Since none of the figures I have seen posted use this method resale value has already been factoed in as zero or worst case. BTW with 1200 down my monthly cost is 450 payment, 65 ins (it just went up.. don't laugh chimp). I get about 20 MPG but was getting 23. Oil is every 3500 miles tires will go perhaps another 2 thousand (10250 on her now). I think by my tire wear and fuel consumption that I drive a little harder than some. Rotors have enough of a ridge on them (nice and even so no problems I just hit em hard when I see a cop) that I project they will last through about 30k.
