I'm getting some slight drivetrain whine this winter it just started. It sounds like it's coming from the back like rear diff or drive shaft. I know one of my rear axel seals is messed up and slight leak coming from there on the rear diff.

Definitely doesn't sound like transfer case noise of death to me but I'm not sure. Any ideas of things i can check etc?


I also have a strange ticking noise when I apply the breaks. It goes with the speed of the car so the faster I'm going the faster the clicking etc.


Any ideas would be great it has been way too cold for me to try to diagnose the problem outside.
