New Evo VIII Owner right here!!
I don't know if this is the place to post this so let me know. Chalk it up to being a newbie here. So I bought a 2003 Evo 8 from a guy and it just got delivered today. Some things about the car.
Fully built engine with 1200cc injectors and 255 fuel pump
complete head work done (port and polish as well)
front facing 6266 ball bearing
huge front mount IC, Dont know who makes it but its huge
4" turbo back exhaust, no cat
5 speed with twin disc comp clutch
aftermarket wheels and brakes
stock suspension
a bunch of gages and stuff inside
The guy showed me where it made 552whp on the dyno. I've never owned that much much hp but it should be fun. Some things that I've learned in the very short time I've had it,
1. Twin disc clutches are loud. Almost to the point where i thought something was wrong until somebody told me it was normal.
2. I have to let the car warm up at least 15-20 mins before I drive it or else she is a real *****.
3. 552whp is stupid fast.
I'll post some pics a little later. Also, anything I should know as a new Evo owner?

So heres some pics. I'm in the process of checking my spark plugs and wrapping the exhaust up. Bad news though. I started the car up this morning. White smoke that smelled like fuel and oil came barreling out, but mostly fuel. Quite a bit of it. The car ran for a couple mins while I checked stuff out and when the idle came down it almost died(250RPM) then it shot back up to around 2000RPM, all while still smoking. In fact when the car would almost die and go back up, thats when the most white smoke would come out. I killed it and immediately looked at the spark plugs and did a compression test. The plugs have a lot of carbon on them and the compression read 98 PSIG on 3 out of 4 cylinders, 99 on the other one. Theres still some things I need to check and a lot I'm thinking about. Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: Sorry for the sideways photos.

15-20 minutes is A LOT! to waitfor warm up, sir I would highly recommend you check your tune. If you have a full on race car maybe maximum would be 10 minutes if that.
Correct, if I'm wrong but walbro 255 is very small for 6266, even a re-wired 255, I would keep an eye that.

seriously? 15-20 mins warm up... sounds about right...
i can tell from that original post that this car is going to be nothing but problems. scrolled down and sure enough already posting pics and white smoke .
also the reason y i would NEVER buy a "fully built" evo.

If you can tell by a post that the car would be a problem then I need you to come see why its blowing smoke. I suppose the warm up is a bit long. I'm just paranoid about letting the 15w-40 oil warm up. I wiggled the compressor wheel and it went up and down very slightly and I could move it in and out very slightly. And when I flick it hard with my finger (insert joke), it turns about half a turn then stops. So I think I found my problem.

You really think its too small? I being serious though cuz I dont know. I know it has a mild tune on it and the guy said it needs a retune because its running rich right now. 31lbs of boost is what its at. Im about to get a AEM or Haltech standalone to tune it with as well.

Stock ECU will do all you need with that set up and then some.
You need to log Injector duty cycle to see where you are on fuel. The closer you are to 100 the more fuel pump you will need.
I would do a good boost leak (if you dont know what this is, search on how to build a tester and do it). These cars need to be 100% leak free or they tend to do funky things.
