2004 Evo Recaro seats!
I am not sure if this has been posted but I was at work today...searching around the cataloging system on the evo. (i work for a mitsu dealer in parts). These new seats are not cheap. You think the 2003 seats were expensive, I looked up both the top and bottom. These are for the 2004 seats w/ leather...The bottom part # 6911A020XA - $1920.04. The back part # 6901A002XA - $2454.74. That comes to a whopping $4374.78 per seat. The 2003 seats for tops and bottoms together are $2990.22. ( note - This is not for any of the little parts that are needed to put the seat together. Both for the 2003 and 2004 seats) But, that is a difference of $1384.56. Just thought people might find this interesting.

CarPhoto: No you could buy the Sparco Enzo Ferrari seats for $2500 each w/ Carbon fibre base.
If someone actually purchases a seat, they deserve to be publicly slapped.

Are you sure, that if you wanted to buy them, they would be that price? I've seen dealer prices for 03 EVO seats range from 700 a piece to 2k a piece. Where could you get a solid accurate price?

Yeah, well seats are expensive to stock and ship... even teh relatively crappy stock lancer seats would cost more than a set of aftermarket recaro sports... if you tried to build a car solely from ordering parts at the counter it would cost 3x as much not including labor.. and car companies don't make that much from parts that rarely get replaced.. but they have to keep them in inventory for at least 10 years for warranty and collision repair reasons.. not to offer customers a cost effective upgrade. Keeping all that crap in stock somewhere is a pain in the ***.. trust me. Anyway, going aftermarket with almost identical recaros covered in whatever you want is the way to go if you want leather.
