So I've been having trouble starting my evo, as weird as it sounds, but it's probably not what you think, but if anyone has the same problem or can help me out it would be awesome.
So basically I put my clutch down, I'm sure it all the way down, and I simply turn the key, with no results. If I use like a lot of force with the key and take several tries, it eventually works and runs great, but I'm just sick of taking 5 minutes just to start my car. I'm not sure if there's some sort of safety I have, I have no clue because I'm not the original owner. It's a gsr evo IX for the record.

 

The actual key cylinder may be worn.

 

Ignition switch.try to push deep as you can and then turn.

 

Ignition switch, not the mechanical side with the key, but the electrical side that sends out signal for starter. Simple fix. Had the same problem with my Evo. Think it was less than $50 and installed in about half hour
