New 48" Koyo Radiator Replaces 55" Koyo Race - Installed
My OEM radiator finally gave out at 135K as it sprung a leak from the top. I put in an order a few weeks ago for a R2676 55" Koyo Race Radiator as it was the only full Koyo aluminum radiator option at the time. It was a little bigger than wanted as the Evo rarely ever suffers from hot underhood temps and I know it would be difficult to get a bigger turbo in there should I ever want to upgrade. I received an email from the seller, (Tuner Sports, After quite a bit of shopping around, they had best shipped price), that the 55" had been discontinued and replaced by the new 48" HH031610. I check Koyo's website to verify and it indeed was true! I was pleased to hear as it was slimmer unit plus Koyo claims for it to be just as efficient if not better.
Only downside if any, is that it no longer comes in a mirrored finish. The unit in my Miata looks so much better because of the mirror finish but it's okay, as you can tell, I don't have the cleanest enginebay anyhow
Fitment was perfect and painless.
