New to this, need some opinions on my recent purchase
Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2003 Evo VIII and was curious if i could get some feedback/ input on what this car moght be capable of from more technically/ mechanically inclined folks. I have a list of modifications that have been done to this car (professionally) but some of it is chinese to me. I can upload more pictures if it would help to identify some things, and to show this car. It is very clean inside and out and i can't fully tell if everything i was told was done to the car has actually been done, if that makes sense. If any of you who may know more about this than i do, i would appreciate the feedback. Also, this is the first forum I have ever joined as well as the first true sports car i have owned ( though I have always wanted to).
Please be easy on me, I know I'm new)

Welcome. The #1 question is what do you plan to do with the car most of the time? Lots of mods make sense if the car is a track only car but don't make much sense for a daily driver. The Evo is a very capable car for many different types of driving once it's built correctly.

I will get pictures as soon as i can, as well as the mod list, since it isn't on my phone. As far as codgi's response goes, I was told that the owners of vivid racing once owned this car and they built it as a project/ show car (dont really believe that, but if it's true, thats cool too). The last guy who owned it was 50-something years old and had it for about 7 yrs and only put 7k miles on it. He had it tuned to be a daily driver but to have plenty of power just in case he did want to have a bit of fun in it. I also had a question as to whether or not you can tell by looking through the engine compartment if the motor has had a stroker kit out in it or if it is stock. Supposedly it has a 2.3l stroker kit in it. Pictures and mod list will follow a bit later.

Okay, so here is onenof the parts lists, i was also given a list or "appraisal" from vivid racing that was made up in 2007. I noticed the one from vivid racing is a little off from what i can see from the exterior of the car but i will post it if it might help. But for now, here is what i have. thanks, I love it so far and even though it has more power than I've ever handled personally, I am already trying to figure out how to give it more (but still be reliable and not break all the time). I just don't know where to go for these kinda of things, hence why I am here. there are few, if any, performance shops in my town especially ones that would deal with a Mitsubishi.

It is VERY fun to drive, especially when allowing a full throttle/ turbo pull. I get the adrenaline shakes every time i do it. I LOVE it so far! Definitely the nicest car I have ever owned. Im kinda wondering if the parts that are supposedly on it would handle 500 or more WHP and if all i would really need to do is simply re-tune the ecu (with help of a specialist and dyno, of course). And, it handles like a champ. Very tight/heavy and responsive steering, which i like. I like being able to feel the car responding directly to my slightest inputs.
