I also I didnt buy this to drive slow so fuel economy is going to be **** but I noticed that crap driving sensibly to and from work the past week. If I was foot flat for those km's I wouldn't be complaining.

Car definitely drives alot smoother now. Sometimes would have a little stumble when taking off in first gear but that's gone. Only heard one pop all day too so major improvement there. I have also noticed I can now cruise along in 5th gear at 50-60kmh where as before I was always chopping between 3rd and 4th as in 4th if I went below 50kmph I would have to shift down to 3rd.

Overall major win. expect fuel milage to be alot better and only cost $12 for a can of MAF cleaning.
It may have been bad enough to throw fuel trims off. That will take time to correct. You can pull the ECU fuse, if you want to reset them. Give it a few miles to see if it sorts itself out, though.

When I put the MAF back in the car ran like crap so unhooked battery while I went and made lunch, hooked back up and she started first pop and idled mint then spent the majority of the day driving the car.

I got 17mpg going from Vegas to LA, going 75-80, with a few WOT pulls to, umm, a high rate of speed. Not too bad IMO...

On pump gas? I dunno. I get 20+
Even during mixed driving, I see 17-19.

My IX gets horrible gas mileage. Because of the spool characteristic of the 71HTA I feel like i'm literally always in boost, like i barely have to give it any throttle and im in boost. I'm lucky to get 160 miles on a tank of E85. At a NASA event 1/3 tank lasts me one 20 minute session, usually equated to about 3mpg. My Evo X is better but still pretty bad when you factor in that fact that it still has stock injectors. I'm lucky to get 240 miles out of a tank. I think I managed 250 once. I've contemplated switching to E85 but there's really no point unless the price of gas shoots through the roof.

Yeah I go through it like crazy. I'll go through all six 5 gallon jugs I bring to the track with me in one NASA weekend. Thankfully its still pretty cheap
