Can evos race on the track?
I'm looking to buy a Mitsubishi Evolution 8 and I would like to race on the road tracks with it and on the dirt. Can Mitsubishi Evolutions race on the road tracks since they are all wheel drive? If so are they good for racing on the road tracks?

No. It causes a fission reaction in the engine which will destroy the earth if some one does it again. DON'T GO TO THE TRACK.

funny, but I used to think a bit like this once...
ok so way back in the age of the Evo, what we saw was the WRC shows with Tommi Mikkonen in his Evo 6 going sideways on dirt, tar and snow. oh the Evo was made to rally race against the suby....etc. ok so these are rally cars right...does anyone drive these on race tracks back then?
ok so back to the OP, well he needs to look at his local track club race scene, if he took an Evo into a track racing club, where would they class it? would he be in the open class up against v8s or would he be in a production 4x4 class? If he has mods they might put him in a improved prod class and be up against other modded v8s and exotics and get blown away....so I would say back to him is sure you can race mostly anything but if you want to be in a class that you are totally out performed, maybe you won't be wanting to race it so call up some local clubs and start asking questions on the requirements to race and what he would need to do to be in the best class thats suits his car....
heres an Evo team in Australia that still wins alot of production class racing that it is entered in, this class is pretty strict with only limited mods alllowed:

COME ON MAN. everyone knows that if you are looking for a purpose built race car nothing screams speed and grace like a Daewoo Leganza.... Don't be stupid man I wouldn't waste my money on the econobox turd nugget "evolution". I mean that thing has stayed the same for almost 20 years but claims to "evolve"
