My Evo VIII MR

Hello EvoM friends.

I want to share with you some pictures of how I bought my Evo and how it looks now.

I bought it from an auction at IAAI.

This are the photos from the auction. The only reference I had to know the condition of the Evo.

Main damage.

Closer look to the damage.

We didn't knew for sure if it was a MR, but the interior matched

This are the photos when we received the Evo.

Slight offset of the trunk.

Right tailight mini damage. This sucks.

The right headlight came broken, so I bought the JDM Black version, which I like better. Now I still have to paint the left one.

The main damage. It was more serious than we thought at first.

We were glad that all the original tools were not stolen on the customs.

Stock turbo I like that the car is pretty much stock, so we can build it from almost zero.

AEM Fuel Rail and Injector Dynamics 1000cc Injectors.

It had the stock MAP sensor, so I already installed the OMNI Power 4 Bar one

Fuelab Electronic Regulator, I believe it is the 529 Series.

Hallman Boost Controller. I still have to do more research on this, as I plan to move to ECU boost control.

No one knew what this was, until after some fiddling with it. Exhaust Cutout!

Boost and AFR Gauges.

Some more pictures of the car arriving.

Photos after getting all the damage repaired.

A better view of the exhaust cutout.

On the process of changing the timing, drive, and balance shaft belts and tensor pulleys.

Some rusty parts, as the car was in New York, I believe.

Already changed all fluids and lubricants. Timing, balance shaft, and drive belt replaced for new ones. Now my plan is to use the car as it is and try to make the best of the parts I have right now. I will post pictures and info as we develop the Evo.

Thank you very much for reading!
Sebas.

holy ****. that's a miracle. LOL. i hope you got it for a STEAL.

i bought a salvaged one with the radiator support, trunk floor, and frame extensions pushed in. came out quite nice.

congrats for saving another evo, man. glad to see it not be separated into 1,000 pieces.

I didn't think it was possible to repair that type of damage.

Usually a hit from the side will mess up the chassis badly.

Interesting to see it repaired without major issues. Great work!

Thank you all for your comments and support!

I am really happy with her... I know we will have a great life together haha.
I have always wanted a car for my whole life, or as long as it is possible. So my plan is to develop the car to something around 350hp. Daily driven. Just to have fun and enjoy her.

Thank you all!
