timing belt tension question

Im taking apart my head to install my headgasket and arp headbolts. Quick question is when i use the rod tool to release the tension of the timing belt to take the belt off the cam gears, do i need to readjust the belt tensioner when i reinstall the belt on the cam gears and release the rod tool? This is of course hoping the crank and the belt on the teeth of the crank doesnt move at all. Thanks

When you remove the tool that compresses the tensioner you will have the same tension as before. Allow a few minutes for the tensioner to readjust. Along with a spring it contains a piston and silicon oil that passes through a small orifice.

Thank you. That was what i was lookng for. Do not want to readjust that pain in the *** tensioner. It was annoying for me to do the first time i did it.
