What do you look for when purchasing from a Vendor?

As the title states, I would like to know what everyone looks for when purchasing from a vendor?
-Do you look for the lowest price available?
-Do you look for customer service?
-Do you look for a vendor who is active in the community providing data, tech help, etc?
-Do you look for a vendor who is producing products?
-Do you look for a vendor who is racing, producing vehicle builds, etc?

Or anything else that I am not able to think of.

Thanks!

Depends on what you are after, if it's a set of brake pads, whoever can supply the brand, if it's a turbo I'd buy it from a shop that's been around for a while and has good tech support

lowest price + shipping and speed of communication / friendliness

Last purchase I ended up going with a company I'd never heard of for my brakes and pads over one of the large well-known places because prices were so much lower. Company I went with did drop-shipping, so they didn't actually stock the products, but they were very up-front with me about this and I had no delays on my order and saved over $100

It depends. If I'm researching what to buy and I make my decision based on advice from calling around and not on the forum then I will buy from whoever sold me on a certain product.

If I research online like on forums and decide what I want myself then I shop around for the best price on that item.

I forgot about shipping time. I ordered an intake and some parts one time from a vendor I discovered have at least a week processing time and are across the country from me. Sometime this isn't a big deal but sometimes it is.
