I wasn't really sure where to put this, it could go in a few locations on EvoM, but I thought it had general enough appeal to go in Evo General.

I recently attended the WTAC event in Sydney, Australia. As most of you know Evo's are very well represented in time attack circles so what follows will give you an idea of some of the Evo's flying the Mitsubishi flag in Sydney.

































and last but not least, the outright winner for the day, with a new "tin top" record of 1.23.777 for Sydney Motorsport Park (Eastern Creek Raceway), the Tilton Racing Evo, driven by Garth Walden.

 

The tilton evo is absolutely ridiculous. I heard on the rumour mill it's going to travel a bit before it is retired.

Hopefully it might own some records at international tracks.

 

Thanks for sharing. Definitely just was just spent more time I expected looking at those pictures and I am sure I'll look again later. Nice camera too by the way. Great quality pictures of moving cars. I've been wanting a good camera for a while but can't part with the money for one.

 

Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoyed them. My camera isn't anything special, just a old Nikon D80 with a 30-70mm zoom lens on it, you could pick up the body for less than $100 off ebay. The trick with moving cars and such is to track them (follow them) with the camera before you fire off a shot. I used maybe a 200th of a sec shutter speed to get the moving shots. Nothing fancy neede, my mobile phone has heaps more megapixels than my camera, you just have to know how to use what you've got.

Nemo last competed 2013 (3rd in Pro Class with a blown head gasket). The owner hit some financial trouble, car and owner hasn't been seen since. Doubt it will ever surface again unless someone was to purchase what is left of it
