What RPM do you go WOT in?
Specifically in 3rd and 4th gears. I have a built evo 9 and have been told by one tuner 3k is fine, another said 3.5k . I know about stress on the rods, just wondering what everyone else does / recommends. I tried searching but could only find when people shift. Thanks

when racing WOT in every RPM!!!!!
srsly tho... i have no idea what your asking?
some tuners have started the WOT at 2500 rpm for tuning. but i dont think thats what your talking about.
you dont want to WOT in high gears at low rpms, low end tq kills. certainly i would not go that low in 4th. should have just down shifted anyways.

if your running more pk torque then your rods can handle then thats a problem on its own. The question I think your asking is really just about knowing how to drive stick shift, and your specific setup. You should be in a gear that is appropriate for the situation. Going WOT in 5th at 2k rpms is basically pointless with our engines for example. You would downshift into an appropriate gear maybe its 4th, maybe its 3rd, again depending on your specific setup and its power band. No point in downshifting only to have to upshift again after 1k rpms. So rather then approaching it like "what can i get away with" try and think about what is appropriate, and that will go towards building good driving habbits as well.

If your car is tune properly, it does not matter..

Otherwise it depends on how much torque you're making, what kind of parts you got.
There is no specific answer to this question.
High load + high gear (low RPM) is known as lugging the engine, this is never good for any scenario, stock or modded.
