New COP, plug advice please

Hi. I've recently bought a COP kit for my IX I'm going to fit tomorrow and was wondering what size gap I should run and also if anyone has any good tips for gapping my plugs? At the moment I'm running NGK ILFR7H plugs at around .5mm if I remember rightly and after doing a bit of googling i was thinking of going up to .7mm/0.276" which would be fine with my (approximately) 26psi boost?? Basically I've got absolutely no experience in this area so any advice is appreciated

Should be good there, but you'll have to see how it runs. If you use a gapping tool you can open or close the gap without touching the electrode.

I was under the impression there was no need to gap iridium plugs?

Well you don't NEED to as such, but the point of a COP kit is to give a larger stronger spark to help combustion, and obviously you need a bigger gap to make the spark longer, unless I'm mistaken

You still need to gap them you just have to do it a different way than a regular copper or similar plug so you don't damage the electrode
