Thinking of trading my X for a IX need advice.

Having driven both, the X is definitely much more DD friendly, even modded. The ride is much smoother and interior is (arguably) nicer, with more sound deadening and creature comforts like cruise control and nav.
Having said that, I DD'd a SSL VIII and it has treated me well. The sunroof and upgraded sound/seats do make a difference when you drive it every single day. The lower profile tires, wide wheels, stiff suspension, exhaust noise, and overall raw-ness of the car eventually gets old. It's almost a relief to switch it up with a stock car every once in a while.

Speaking in terms of modification options I do think the X has more support nowadays. You can find tons of Evo VIII/IX parts used on the marketplace but options tend to be decreasing and more parts discontinued when buying new aftermarket.
