Humming noise going straight

I have an Evo 9 with 30k original miles. Car sat outside for a while waiting for finds to rebuild motor. Have it all back and running and I notice with my varex muffler closed to so the exhaust is quiet and only then can I hear a humming noise. At first I thought it was a wheel bearing. It seems to only happen going straight though. It only happens at like 40 -50mph+. If I put it in neutral sound is still present until I slow down. Not noticing any changes with turning direction so maybe it's a dif? Or transfer case? Sounds like it's closer to the front. I can feel vibrations by my feet on the floorboard while it's doing it. It sounds distinctly like a wheel bearing but could be a bearing in the transfer case?

Sounds like you're on the right track ... Wheel bearing, tcase, trans, diff.
Seems though that it has pretty low miles to have those wearing out/ giving issues. What's the history with the car, how long has it sat?

It sat about a year. Transmission was a shep rebuild with 5 k miles on it. Would a cv joint make a similar sound? I slid into a curb and dinged up my passenger right wheel pretty good on black ice going like 7 mph. Thinking it might be from that but can't remember if I knew of the noise prior to that.... Loud *** exhaust makes new sounds hard to detect. I only hear it with the butterfly valve of my varex muffler closed haha.

Check wheels bearings, usually need to be replace when hitting a curb.

Upon driving home I was able to notice the noise more going around left winding roads at about 50 and less going around right winding roads going 50 which is indicative of the passenger wheel bearing which is the wheel that hit the curb. Probably the issue.
