Help?? Fuel Cut problem!
So I have a 04 evo 8 and my current mods are;
FP Red ball bearing turbo
Megan Racing turbo Manifold
FIC 1050cc
Walbro 255 Fuel pump
Ets Front mount with piping
Megan Racing 3" downpipe full 3" exhaust straight pipe
Speed Density
Aem Water/Meth Injection I'm running 100% Meth
Muse o2 open dump
Blow MBC
Ets 4" Intake.
I got tuned by English Racing Best guys ever they did a great job but recently i encountered a issue my meth was set up with the stock controller it comes with so a start boost psi range and a end one. And recently my car has been having Fuel cut issues in first gear all the time. I launched a couple times and it ran good? When i randomly try to get on it lets say any gear sometimes it will pull great and other times it hits fuel cut feels like i hit a wall and my stereo turns off and then starts back up so I'm sure its Fuel cut. I tried re gapping my spark plugs from anywhere to 0.23-.026 and still doesn't seem to fix my problem. Ive herd that the meth injection could causing this if it doesn't spray correctly? but i am not sure what the problem is?? Does anyone have a idea or direction to point me to? i am currently on 28 psi at WOT

I've had spark plug sputters but this feels different it's like building up boost and before its full boost it cuts off and a loud pop and I feel like I hit a brick wall then my stereo turns back on and stuff it doesn't sputter it completely cuts off and then starts back up immediately but il try re gapping the plugs I'm using iridums should I get copper?

Yeah, a fuel-cut feels like you hit a brick wall - very abrupt deceleration.
Also check for tears in the couplers that only open up after certain pressure. Do a proper leak test.
Coppers are fine but you will have to replace them more often than Iridium ones. Gap down to 0.020".

Turn off the radio if you are trying to troubleshoot an engine problem.
