Sourcing parts from auto stores.
Hey ive got an evo 7 coming to canada from japan next month and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of buying a few parts.
What im mostly curious about are engine seals and gaskets. Can anyone tell me without a doubt if any/all of the gaskets and seals are the same for most/4g63T engines? Im thinking platforms such as DSM and Eclipes etc....
To get very specific
i want to go to my local parts store (in bc canada) and ask them for certain seals over the counter. Some of you know that in canada the ct9a platform was never sold. So asking for the seals from a 2001-2xxx evo will fall on deaf ears here.
some that im looking for.
- front and rear main
- cam seals
- tstat housing seal
- exhaust manifold gaskets
- intake manifold gaskets
- valve seals
You get the idea. I know i can order online from places like lancershop, map, extremepsi, etc etc but the prices are high with usd - cad exchange and if i need something quick, sometimes waiting 1-2 weeks wont cut it.
cheers guys, look forward to your responses.
Brent.
