Evo 9 MIVEC stops working after 4000rpms

This randomly started happening last week. The MIVEC gear will stop advancing after 4500rpms and seems to start doing crazy ****.

2.4LR Motor
Stock Evo IX head.

oil pressure doesn't drop
MIVEC filter isnt clogged
No weird noises
Turbo of course slow spool
MIVEC solenoid bad?
ECU bad?

This problem is beyond any tips I could provide

I did perform a Google search for you to see what other threads are out there

Go over some of them to see if anything helps. Nothing worse than unknown mechanical issues

Thanks! I did some google searching but came up empty. Somebody on FB said it was the knock sensor but it's a closed loop system AND I put e85 in and disabled the knock sensor, still does the same. I'll keep searching, weird that I've gotten the p04011 code once, cleared it and it never came back. I'll start replacing parts and hopefully I can figure out what's bad

If mivec fails, it could be a sensor, selenoid or a burned connection to those parts.

You know anyone that might have an extra sensor that I can borrow to test that? The solenoid works fine, tested it the other day. Its weird. After 4200rpms, it doesn't matter if its full boost or cruising it still goes to -30*. I think its the sensor.
