genuine bosch injectors vs fic, id etc
just found a sweet deal on some genuine bosch 1600cc hi z injectors and was wondering would it hurt to get them instead of branded injector like fic, id etc that uses them as a base? willbe using pump gas occasionally but mostly race gas.
running around 600whp
what would be cons? i know the pros should be alot cheaper.

If you have a good tuner I would ask him what to get. Most stock ecu tuners have a few injectors that they use frequently since they are familiar with how they perform with the stock ecu. Bigger injectors will have some dead time , some may be worse then others so if they have figured out how to adjust that or just run it rich at those points then it will drive better.
I prefer Injector dynamics, as well as lot of people/tuners worldwide. I've had a set of ID1300's that drove perfect and now have a set of ID1700's that are pretty close to that. . Peak to Peak power might be the same between injector X and Y but what about idle, part throttle, start up etc.. If you have a street car these things are important to some. If its just a drag car then it won't really matter.
The good thing is all of the injectors from almost everyone are much better then what we had to deal with a decade or so ago. We are spoiled by decent idle with a set of 2000cc injectors.
The 1300/1700 are a true motorsport injector built by Bosch for ID. Not just a modified head that someone called it good.

Beyond the base injector, there are quite a few advantages...
1) Precision matching the injector set by dynamic slope flow values as well as individual latency values (see chart below for how much of a difference this really does make).
2) Injector data for tuning purposes makes tuning easy and straightforward -- dont leave home with it!
3) Customer service and warranty. Ours kicks butt. Ebay and other price-point brands really don't have any.
This is a real representation of a group of high quality Bosch injectors at our facility. Without precisely matching them by both flow and latency values, your set of injectors could be all over the map, never even allowing for good results from even the best tune.
