Are you a car ****?

Every year on my birthday, I'm reminded of how giant a car ***** I've been for the last 12 years or so. My email inbox gets flooded with "Happy Birthday" messages from all the car forums I joined. It's kind of ridiculous.

Anyone else have the same issue? I wish I could be monogamous with my vehicles, but I just get bored too easy.

In the last 36 months, I've owned the following:

2010 VW GTI
2013 Kia Optima
2003 BMW M3
2013 VW Golf R
2012 Audi S4
2013 Audi S4
and as of this week,
2006 Mitsu Evo MR

I also have a deposit on a Tesla Model 3.

My family thinks I'm legitimately nuts, and kind of hates me for it. It would help to know there are others out there like me... anyone?

I think a lot of us here are similar, except you have been through a no. of rides in the last 3 years
Have had my EvO over 8 years & is my only serious project. But my DD has the following (coilovers, uprated rear sway, CAT back & open intake)

I also work in the OEM vehicle manufacturing business & my job duties are very much mechanical in nature

Just love mechanical things

My family thinks the same. We have a new car edition every 1 1/2 years. This year I traded in my 14 Focus ST3, bought a 1990 rover mini cooper from japan and bought my evo 8.

I am adamant that my first 6 speed single turbo supra with 700hp has ruined all other cars for me.
I sold that October 2015 and have since had an R32 GTR, 3 pedal V10 M5, a deposit on a Focus RS, a stock 6 speed supra, 540iT, a VW GTI

I'm glad that Supras have become (in my opinion) prohibitively expensive. Because if they weren't, I'd most certainly be divorced.

P.S. THANK YOU! I knew there had to be someone out there that was worse than me! The more of you that come out, the safer my home life becomes.

If you can find one. And they've already gone way up.

I've owned a LOT of cars, but my swapping days came to an end when I bought my first Evo. I sold it, regretted it, so then bought the one I have now. I've had it for four years, now. The only car I've owned longer was my Type R, which I owned for five yrs. I used to swap cars ever year at the longest. I also get bored haha.
The Evo has been a perfect fit for me, like your favorite pair of jeans. I can't fine another car I'd rather own.

Talking Yeah, I am too...

I still own:
*1989 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R (Wide body)-bought new.
*2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX-MR -bought new.
*2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport -bought used.

I was never big on buying a car, and then a few months later selling it. I know what I want, and am very sure when I buy. So 99% of my cars are here to stay. An example of this is my '89 Starion ESI-R.

I am very car crazy/car ****! I have a heated/air conditioned garage/museum that has items only of Mitsubishi/RALLIART that I have been collecting since 1985. A Mitsubishi Executive from Japan came to my house for 2 days and cataloged all my items and interviewed me. I'm 59 years old, and I'm not stopping! Cheers to all us '*****!

That is an awesome collection. I was looking on ebay for 1:18 scale Autoart evos yesterday and they are insane! The red IX with the stickers (Ralliart?) I think I saw for $700-$800. I have an Autoart 1:18 silver IX that I am not letting go of.. possibly the same one as the one you have underneath the lift.

Personally I go through daily drivers pretty often - buy a fully depreciated used car with miles, put more miles on it, sell it, repeat... but I've only had two "weekend" cars.. my 2003 WRX (owned 8 years) and my Evo (owned almost 6 years).
