Help needed in identifying a whine

Hey guys i have an evo 9 mr, and i get this whine that comes in 4th 5th and really noticable in 6th gear the one goes away as soon as i touch the accelerator and goes away as soon as i let go also the whine is not speed related it gets higher depending on how far Im pressing the pedal so quarter pedal while accelerating the whine is constant but if i go 50% of the pedal the whine gets louder and starts increasing also the whine is not there in 1st or 2nd gear

thanks im advance

How many miles on the drivetrain?
When was the last fluid flush of the diffs & transmission?
You should have the oil checked for metal particles
Is it shifting ok?

Im assuming stock bushings. If the EvO has hi-perf bushings, this sound may be normal

I have a similar issue, Comes on in 4th gear only if I push the accelerator, as soon as I let go it goes away, only hear it in 4th and 5th. I just had my transmission changed, and the mechanic said it might be my Tcase whining. but idk... Gonna swap the fluid soon..
