Official Mitsubishi EVO MR Press Release
lewisorchhorn just pointed this out in another thread. From the horse's mouth:
"The 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution MR edition, scheduled to go on sale this fall, will add an active center differential, six-speed manual transmission, more horsepower, a lightweight aluminum roof and BBS forged aluminum wheels."
http://media.mitsubishicars.com/deta...82696&mime=JPG
Seems like we get screwed out of the AYC though. O well, beggars can't be choosers I suppose. At least the haters can have an excuse to say why the MR isn't cool.

Does that stuff really elp that much? Or does it just add wieght and actually take away from the driving experience since the car is doing half of the driving for you???
I like the traction control stuff, but only if I can turn it off...
Great I will graduate from college by then and cn get one!!!!!!!

any news on the pricing? I'm guessing it'll go for $33-35,000 easily. Any news on the engine displacement? Subaru had to up-size the STi by .5 to get the performance to 300BHP.

Besides the tranny differences, i'm guessing it will be basically the same as the regular EVO with a different ECU. big deal.
and in all honesty. with all of the tranny/transfer case issues we have now, who knows what the MR owners will have to deal with.
awesome car though, but don't forget, so is the standard EVO

but sweet, I am so excited, my dad is going to trade his 03 evo in on a new MR come this fall. His is bone stock, so it will be much easier to trade. Anyway, thanks for the news!

In everyday driving does that extra stuff really make a huge difference? . I am happy with my evo. MR or EVo its all the same to me. At least now hopefully these aftermarket parts will go down in price for the EVO. Everyone who sticks with the EVO will be able to get some parts cheap since people will be parting out their cars and taking a huge loss money wise to get the MR.
