Currently running 4" intercooler without crash beam. After last accident with deer, kinda want to add a cusco power brace to the front. Wonder will power brace fit 4" intercooler?

The front "crash" bar is for 2.5mph impacts, so neither really do much.

That being said, the Cusco offers zero performance gain, and should ditched in favor of the size intercooler you need. If you truly need a 4"

Just keep this in mind, please:

If your EvO is street driven & you get into a frontal, the insurance adjuster can make an issue of that beam deletion & may affect your coverage

I don't know this for a fact, but I would've thought the front crash beam also helps redirect and balance force through both crumple zones. The beam bolts directly on the end of the crumple zones. Otherwise you can get a front offset crash sending all the force through just one side. Or a dead center pole totally missing both crumple zones.

I know people read that and think "I hope an accident misses both crumple zones" cause it means unrepairable damage. But that's not worth risking injury or death over. There are accidents where crumple zones wouldn't make a difference either because the impact is low enough or too high to matter. But the ones in between is where safety systems can really change your life.

The crash beam is a 2.5mph. It doesn't do anything except make slow parking collisions less expensive to fix. I even recall reading the USDM cars are the only region that go it.

Needing a high strength steel beam bolted directly to the crumple zones solely for the 2.5mph test seems overkill. And my understanding of bumper beams is it acts more like this:

Otherwise it's going to be difficult to activate your crumple zones when they have about a 2 ft square surface between the 2 of them. Yes I know they're not on the cars in the jdm market.

A 4" will not fit behind the Cusco brace. There just isn't enough space. The largest you can fit is a 3.5". We offer them specific for the brace. The core is good to around 650WHP.

I run the same core on my Evo X @ 650WHP and it has zero issues keeping the charge air cool.

I know but there's no way to fit front crash bar with 4"
