6466 hp record on evo

Anyone know what the record for the 6466 is? I've seen a few online searching around in the 900 range.

Like ~900 allllllll in on full bling builds. If you want ensure you hit 900-950, a 6870 is the better option.

I was just wondering is anyone claimed they were. Doesn't sound like it. I dont want any more lag on my car. The 6466 should be enough unless I get bored of it. I was surprised when 700 didn't feel fast anymore so I'm not sure 800 will be that much different. Hope to get closer to 850

The 6870 is realllyyyy close to the 6466 in spool up.

A proper setup will do 8-850 no problem. Ported head, Magnus intake, GSC S3 cams or similar, etc..

I'd expect it to be 500-650rpm laggier the very least.
The only car that I saw run crazy fast spool was on a ER 2.2L I believe and probably a twin scroll setup. ER did not want to dislose how they were able to achieve such fast spool. But maybe a quick spool valve? Who knows.

Your expectation is simply incorrect.

No trickery from ER, that's how they spool up on a 2.2 with a twin scroll manifold.

A turbo that big should only be used in twin scroll config.

If the 6466 maxed out doesn't scare the S*&T out of me them maybe I'll look into a 6870. That turbo on a 2.4LR would be nasty. I don't have Mivec they probably had they're modified Mivec head which also aids spool.

Mivec would aid spool up on both turbos. The 6466 is a great turbo. But if you want it make 900, I suggest going bigger.
