Stuttering after lugg

2006 evo 9 fully built English racing motor

Came to red light and I left it in 2nd lugged it and shifted then it felt like it went into limp mode got home and sounds like a subi. Well I decided to check cop connections 3 changed 1 didn’t so when I pulled them all kinda looked like smoke coming out of rubber boot pugs where scorched on top and smelled like fuel. Cleaned them put them back in for ****s and giggles now idles perfect but then if I start to build boost sputters. Can what happened fouled plugs fried coils both no cel light either
ordered

Denso Replacement Direct Ignition Coil 673-1306
ngk 5245 ilfr7h
hoping this fixes it I’ve also looked everywhere for leaks haven’t found any

any help or ideas much appreciated

What do you have the plugs gaped at? Gap specs

I had a similar issue that was caused by the plug gap.

The gap is supposed to be .020" and changing the spark plug gap from .020" to .022" certainly didn't fix a misfire like the one you described.

You have an ignition system issue. Likely a loose connection in the COP that fixed itself when you removed and reinstalled everything.

^^^^^^^^

More than likely messed with the actual issue inadvertently. That gap change won't do much, it wasn't out of the ordinary to begin with.
