Hey all,

So I bought an EVO years back and it doesn't have the actual keys. I recently had another car rekeyed and all I needed was my title and the (subaru) dealer made brand new ones on site. The Mitsubishi Dealer closed down in my town last year, the closest dealer I have to me is in Seattle about 300+ miles away. Any simple solutions to getting new keys before all Mitsu dealers in NA are closed?

 

My understanding was/is that new keys require a new ECU. That may have changed over the years. But that's what I last knew.

 

you can try a locksmith that does mobile key programming possibly or possibly call a different dealer to have them get you the key code and then have someone program it, or disable the immobilizer.
