In the other posts, they are writing about the "watered down" version coming to the U.S.

Completely new differentials?!?!

Found this quote from Ralliart president on the German website

http://www.rallye-dakar.de/2000/main.htm

Translated with Babelfish:
Mitsubishi sets on Rallye

" We concentrate on the Rallyesport ", stressed Ralliart president Yukimichi Kitane: " Approximately 50 per cent of our Potenzials applies the WRC, 25 for the Marathon, 25 of the group of N and other projects. At present we work to the next Evostufe of the Lancer, which is presented 2003. A highlight of the Evo VIII completely new Differenzialsteuerungen will be. "

The 56-jaehrige confirms besides thought plays to develop on basis of the new Colt (presentation in October on Tokyos Motorshow) a Super-1600-Kit-Car. " Would be good to accomplish to Germany also in our core markets Japan and the USA a WM Rallye. "
So will there be completely new differentials or is it just a translation thing? Something other than AYC?

Ye aw shouldn't worry to much. An evo will eventually bathe these shores, and even though the people can debate wether it has AYC, or FMC, it won't matter, for once you will be too busy driving to worry about posting here, and it will all make sence.
Chic's won't dig an evo 7 or 8 for that matter, but when some a**hole pulls up next to you at the lights with 3 blonde dumba@@'s sitting along, and driving his father's 330ci/M3, and you know that on that rainy/any night, you WILL toast him, it won't matter. That is what an evo is.
That's why we're here....................
Sit back any enjoy.

who really races in the rain? and it seems like the numbers the evo got on the 1/4(jspec) it will just barely lose to the m3.
