16 years old, 1044 miles and absolutely no problems. ya, im one of the younger owners, was driving my mom's 2001 eclipse gt b4 i actually got this car, and i must say if anyone's parents actually know how fast this beast goes then in their right mind they wouldnt buy it for them, but ya kno i have my way wit words >;] neway ive had the car for over a month now and everything's perfect >;] i love my evo

5700 miles with a small handful of mods. Slipped clutch 2-3 times and still feels like new. No problems other then a few nicks in the paint by the back driver side passenger door. Need to bring to dealer. But ive never been hard on my car, just pushed it alot

Maybe you did not properly break in the motor???? Excesive speed and "Sprited" driving the first 600mi will not allow the "brand new" piston rings to properly adjust and form a proper seal. Read your Mitsu manual, it advised against fast starts and hard driving the first 600mi. I helped build Honda motors before and the rings always need time to adjust to the piston temp driving habits etc.....Is your Mitsu warranty going to cover this problem? If not there is always a stroker kit you can rebuild your Evo with !!!! Good luck
