Secret Chimp: How long have you had your car for ?
Is there anything we need to pay attention to ? maintenance wise? especially after modding the car ...
Sucks tho my car is not "brand nu" no more ... I might have to change my user name soon ...

August 27th, 2003. One of the best days of my life, and my car currently has 15,3xx miles on it. I have taken several road trips, and I refuse to drive my girlfriends bright yellow new beetle with the daisy rims on it! I will admit though that I am going to buy a Kawasaki Z1000 in about 6-8 weeks though so as to split the miles between the two, however, I drive my Evo every chance I get right now.

Bought mine on August, 31. Just crossed 6000 miles with 20 miles commute one way and trips alongside east coast.
both S2k and Evo are all year round daily drivers with sets of winter tires driven about 8k miles a year each.

I drive mine every chance I get. I’m at 13,000 miles since the end of August 2003. Why buy your own personal roller coaster and not ride it?
Best wishes

I still have the oem clutch and it grabs quite well. But I don't do clutch drops....or at least not too many!
But I am having problems with that 0300 cel (random misfires) and can't wait for Mitsu to release the ecu reflash to take care of it.
I'm not a good one to talk about special maintenance req after modding. I only have a few basics.

Just had my 30K mile service done on Monday, I bought the car on June 18th 2003.
30K mile service included changing all the fluids in the car.
They also resurfaced/machined the front rotors under warranty.
Had my snow tires switched out for my original tires (which were swapped at 15K miles) which still have some life left. Got a 4-wheel alignment done. It ran me close to 600 bucks and that with the pit pass discount.
I'll be out of warranty before I hit one year.
I've only had an oil/filter change every 5K miles (most of my miles are highway) and rotate and balancing of the tires.
4 wheel alignment every 15K miles, sooner if needed.
At 25K miles I thought I'd have to replace the clutch, but whatever was going on has corrected itself, so I'm still on the stock clutch.
Had to have the power steering pump replaced because it froze (Gotta love Maine winters) and that was covered under warranty.
And the climate control wires were replaced under warranty supposedly to fix a very stiff control.
I also dented a rim and replaced it at 10K miles.
I basically have no mods, other than a turbo timer and cruise control.
This has been the most reliable car I've ever owned, my last two cars I traded before they were even out of warranty. I'm keeping the EVO until I can afford an Audi S4 Avant (and that's only because I want a wagon).
