"Fastest evo in US" came to my work today
this guy that owns SRT motorsports came to my work today with an evo pushing about 640ish whp, doing low 10's, DAILY DRIVER, STREET CAR, and even did 11.4 on pump gas pushing only 14PSI, sweet car, spent 25grand in mods, gutted backseat, toda internals...he came with an offer to have one of our cars modded for the show room, he said mildy modded to about 350whp...
u guys think it would be a good idea to have a modded new car in the showroom for sale? would anyone here consider it? it would destroy an MR the way hes modding it

this guys times that he said are about even with that car, but he said "the fastest evo in the states right now"
yes i work for a dealership, Puente Hills Mitsu, thats what i was talking to my boss about, i asked about warranty and that customers are very upset about warranty issues...hes considering having 1 project evo for sale, but then again he doesnt know yet about warranty, im guessing SRT motorsports will have their own warranty?
they modded an evo for anaheim mitsu, and hes trying to spread to all the dealers in socal

also, a bit of advise, if your gonna have a modded evo in your showroom, technically that would mean that you would honor that type of work. unless your gonna put up a big banner saying, IF YOUR CAR LOOKS LIKE THIS, WE WILL NOT WARRENTY YOUR CAR

IMO, it would be awesome for dealers to offer modified Evos, however in the interest of staying in business, you'd have to sell them "AS-IS" ... no warranty. Otherwise it's pretty much guaranteed you'll end up with some moron who will beat the f*** out of the car and then demand that you fix it for free. Best bet would be to sell the car with no standard warranty from Mitsu and make the warranty an optional item from a 3rd party. Personally I'd put a modded Evo like that into the showroom for ~70K with a maintenance/warranty plan for another 10K or so. Yes, most people will whine and complain about the cost - So what??? I'd bet that you will be able to find someone that isn't willing to put in the time and effort to get their own mods and just wants to buy "the fastest Evo" right on the spot.
