Hey Chrisw,

I think there is something wrong there. I got my car in Feb and received my plates a month ago. I think the max time is 90 days. You may want to check DMV to see if you are registered. Did you move recently? Maybe it got lost in the mail?

PS An update regarding the fixit ticket.

In CA: A CHP office will sign the fixit ticket for free where a sherriff's office or city PD will charge anywhere between $10-15 to inspect and sign. Then, it's a $10 processing fee by the court. Not too bad!

VERY TRUE. very good point. this happened to my '03 evo, left black scratch marks. i ended up just drilling the bolt through with my MR, to reduce the vibration, and since i plan on leaving the plate up.

I mounted mine in the trunk. It's in the cargo net so it doesn't rattle around much.

It took nearly 7 months for the plates to show up... While waiting I was pulled over 3 times because of a missing rear plate.

My front license plate sits inside with me on the passenger side of the windshield. It's held to the windshield by some suction cups.
