Whats the best way to hook up a manual boost controller?

Whats the best way to hook up a manual boost controller?
I have mine set up so my manual boost controller is hooked up to my wastegate and turbo outlet. Is it better to hook it up to a Tee in the blow off valve and cap off the turbo outlet or what?

when i installed it teed off the bov. it would spike and/or not hold steady boost. i switched it to the compressor nipple and it was perfect.
