All I was trying to do, trueno, was to avoid getting myself and the other guy hurt. Once he pulled out I knew there was no way I would get around him. All I tried to do was avoid broadsiding him.

I had this happen on my YZF, and it is nearly unavoidable at higher speeds.
Saying he has an aggressive driving style, and that he is lucky it wasn't his fault is silly.
Sorry man, but I guess its again news to you that jamming on the breaks isn't the answer to everything.

2nd ever went to safty driving school?
the first thing they teach you is dont matter what the situation is
use the "break" first b4 you attempt to manuvre away
if your doing 60 and you jsut flip the steering wheel when a car is cutting you off you be fliping 360
i do feel bad for him but i still think he could have done better to prevent that much damge to the car
an accident is not always 1 side at fault the law might say the toyota guy is at fault in this case but you have to ask if the evo was speeding?

We shouldn't be criticizing him about the actions he took.
It was a ***in split second thing. Even professionals screw up when it comes to split second decisions. Just because they acted on their instincts instead of thinking thouroghly, are you gonna call them slow dumbasses for that? Sh_t happens.
Bunch of monday morning quarterbacks.
Sorry about the loss, and glad that you're getting a new one.

^ Damn straight man, the guy did what he had to do and walked away from it with no injuries and a new car. You're sayin he shoulda done somethin different in the .002 seconds he had to react and risk gettin hurt worse? Besides, if the car was damaged any less, he would've had to get it fixed instead of gettin a brand spankin new one
P.S. - Seriously guys, its BRAKES. When you are in a car, you hit the brake, not the break.

Same thing happened to me when I owned my Type R. Some jackass in a Contractor's van decided to make a left turn, crossing in front of me, after waiting until I was 20 ft away, forunately I was able to get out of his way, but jumped a curb and broke my axle, etc...
