I'm telling you guy's what i've seen and herd from our Mitsu dealer's owner and G.M. As far as having pics of the couple evo's we had for the tecs to look at i had nothing to take them with.

How many public appearances have EVO's made in North America? I've only heard of one... at the New York International Auto Show was it?
You'd think Mitsubishi would show the car around more to hype it up/market it in an attempt to get them to sell quicker when they do arrive. Mind you, if the production run is as limited as we suspect it to be, then I imagine many of them are already accounted for.

well i have called around to many dealershere where i'm at. i had to because i felt that this is outrageous for the lancer to come to the staes. who will buy it? it does not make sense espeacially sionce the wrx is in the states. so i called and they told me different. i think everyone should call local mitsu dealers themselves. one becasue they have to STILL remount intercooler. this is what they told me.
hp's of 250-260
price 24-28000 just add tax and tags to that.
now that seems more reasonable. thats an average from all the dealers i talked to. dont believe me then go and call them dealers.

Even if the new EVOs come with 280hp...that is still considered a
detuned version right?
We all know that jdm evo7 claimed to have 280hp.. but in reality it
is producing low 300's... right??
Just like the supra TT... jdm version is 280 and we got 320hp...

its rumerd that Mitsu is bringing the EVO to compete with the WRX STi which is said to be coming as a 2003 model...and the EVO is more expensive than the WRx becuase it is a far superior car.. there is no way u can compare the WRX to an EVO

Well, the argument about whether the Impreza or the Evo is a better car has been fought over and over again here in Europe and the consensus (from both sides) is that the Impreza is more of a normal car than the Evo (i.e. more comfortable, etc.) but that the Evo is the more radical and performant car. If you want a real racing machine that can be tuned very far (500bhp+) get the Evo, if you're a bit softer, then the Subaru should be your choice...
