How do you remove the vent from hood opening...

I have seen a few pics of EVO VIII's with the vent gills removed from the hood and just the meshing is visible. Anyone done or know how to remove this piece? Thanks!

there are tabs holding it on underneath your hood. it easy to take off. your engine will get dirtier quicker and it would allow easier access to the engine from outside the car, which is not necessarily a good thing. i would leave it in place

There are actually 2 tabs in the front and 5 plastic screws around the edge. Takes about 2 mins to take off. Looks pretty cool too.

But becarful not to get it washed without it on. If all that water gets inside the engine bay it could cause problems with the electrical.

the vents actually prevent water from going towards the engine. w/o it water will just go directly to the engine.
