Evo vs. Z06 OTC

I found this post on the z06 board and it looks like no one has posted it here yet. It is good to know that with just a few mods, Evos can run with one of the best performance cars available. I hope Evos can do as well in SCCA as the z06s have in the past two years.

Thumbs up

There are quite a few nice cars out there that are relatively easy to modify for high power but, only a few that can also corner and brake as well as the EVO.

And of those, how many have the room and comfortable back seats of the EVO?

This is truly an incredible car!

Once I get my clutch sorted out, I have a race set up with a stock z06, my friend who installed my boost controller. I think if I get a good launch (thus the need for better clutch!), I can take him. If not, I'm toast!

Yeah, I'm a member or zo6vette.com and it is probably THE best forum site on the net. Those guys are great!! And the Z06 is probably one of my favorite cars under 100k...

I used to have a Corvette... If the Evo hadn't been available, I probably would have gotten the Z06..

I was also going to by a z06, but insurance and higher payments were too much at 21. They can be awesome with the right driver. But you need drag radials at the strip and a lot of practice to drive at 10/10ths without the electronic helpers.
