Imported Evos ON SALE ALREADY?
I actually clicked on the banner for evolutionimports.net
These guys are already importing Evo 7's like how Motorex is importing Skylines! THAT'S WICKED!!!!!
I called the guys and they said that the changes they make to the EVO7 for emissions are only minor changes and don't affect the power too much. Recaro's, Brembo's, 17' rims, and Turbos (i think) are all still there!
It'll cost about $39,000 for a base, and for the Canadian crew it'll cost A TOTAL OF $73,600 after taxes and everything else. Damn...that's a lot.

Here in Australia we only just starting getting the new Lancer shape on the road that U.S.A have had for something like 2 years. They said in the paper that no EVO 7's are coming here, but there already are EVO 7's here
Man problem with the EVO's here are you can nearly buy 2 WRX's for the price of an EVO

That's crazy man. Evo VII is supposed to be cheaper than WRX STi, at least in UK it is. Is it because WRX and WRX STi are assembled in Australia, while Evo VII is imported as completely built units?

I looked at the price of the said cars in my home country...Holy ****!!!
Evo VII: USD25,500.00 + 135 % import tax + 10 % VAT and it's not including custom clearance fee
WRX: Rp440,000,000.00 (around US$40,000). 1USD=Rp8800
WRX STi: Not available yet.
You guys in US and in UK are very lucky.

The reason it's expensive is because it's not sold through normal channels. Personally I don't see why it's suprising or terribly expensive to have a car that's normally not street legal in your country. Grey market is always more expensive. At least their markup isn't as bad as Motorex.

US lucky ???
Im a little as to how we here in the US are "very lucky". We have yet to see a single STI or EVO in any form for sale from a dealer. Sure we have rumors but there as good as the paper they're written on.
