Important Question Regarding Import/Export of EVO within Europe..

Hello All,

I really need to ask anyone who may know (specifically any of you within the U.K. or Armed Forces) if it is possible to export a new Evo VIII from the U.K. to Madrid, Spain. My family may be relocating to spain this summer and I may begin my career out there next year.

What I need to know is:

1.) Would be possible to order a red Evo VIII FQ340 from the U.K.have it converted to left hand drive (i was reviewing the Mitsubishi U.K. site and I think it is done for exportation within Europe)

2.) Have it exported to Spain

3.) Legalize it in the U.S. upon my return 1-2 yrs later

I think you can order it LHD from the start, if you are to order a new car I can't see why not. Contact:

http://www.xtreme-uk.net

and see what they can do, and BTW, why not go for an MR?

If you have the car registered in the UK there should be no problem to export it to Spain since both countries are within the European union.

Another option would be to buy an MR from Ralliart in Germany and bring it to Spain, they sell LHD cars from the start and provide a one day registration so you get all the papers needed to register it in Spain.

http://www.ralliart.de

Ralliart GmbH
Adam-Opel-Straße 4
65468 Trebur - Astheim
Tel.: +49 - (0) 6147 203 - 0

Ask for David Ewles, sales manager, he is from the UK.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the last part if you can bring it to the US but generally you should be able to bring it back home if you lived abroad for some time.
