sure it's possible. do you want to change the speedo/tach or the a/c? i've had my cluster out and it's just a matter of changing the bulb condoms. of course the face overlays are orange, so you'll have to deal w/ finding new faces or somthing. i just ordered the ralliart meter combo. it's still orange/red but w/ white faces, 180mph speedo and a 10k tach.

I wanna change the speedo/tach lights ... cause I can't afford to get new guages ... I dont know I was planning to change the lights from that yellowish to a intense red ... and I was trying to figure out how to take that thing apart...

it's soooo easy to take the gauges out. just remove the bezel around it (2 screwws) and then remove the few screws that hold the gauge pod in place. You'll have to turn it a bit funky to get it out and unplug the 2 harnesses from the back. Once it's out you can see the back of the lights. just twist them and change out the bulb condoms. you'll have to do a search on here for the right size, but there are lots of posts. good luck..

I'm fine with the color... can we just make it brighter somehow? Sometimes they seem dim at night... especially compared with my friend's Mazda6 gauges. Those red LED displays are so bright it makes me jealous.

You could change the LED on the Gauges. I've seen it done. it's fairely easy.

There are few forums on DIY at prelude forum and also SRT-4 forum. I think it started at Prelude Forum. I use to have a 5th gen lude...

Just got to take the gauges out and replace the LED with higher Wattage/intensity LED.

Some soldiering and welding/splicing, ect.

I'm thinking about getting a Delfi electronic headup display and taking the whole Tech out. Maybe replace it with 3 other functioning gauges...

I was thinking about that in the shower today.

Best thing to do is just replace the whole system with Electroluminescent system.

El lighting but not as cheesy as ebay stuff.

Well, the Evo gauges use bulbs - people tried using LED's before but the spread is just not good enough (small angle LED vs. the bulb's wide angle), so only certain parts of the display are lit up.
