Am I nuts? (Vendors start bidding!)

I am looking to do A LARGE amount of upgrades by the end of this year. I will be getting a bonus at work within 2 months and am looking to start this off.

http://dev.pensaworks.com/evo/evo.htm

containts what I would like to do. What I am looking for here is advice on the parts chosen, where I can save money etc.

The car is a daily driver (yes i still want the aem ems) and is/will be used for autoX and maybe some dragging once all this is done.

Right now it looks like Ill be putting most of this in myself and having boostsolutions tune it, im willing to go further (atl is a 5 hour drive for me) but we'll see.

*edit* things not on the list but im considering, new FMIC & hard IC piping maybe battery replacement.

Well I dont know how much you have done so far, but looking at your list there I wonder why you would need 1000cc injectors...how much boost are you planning on running? If you go high, you might consider running a water injection kit as well (~$1000). Is the HKS Ti a full turbo back? Will the AEM hold boost to redline or will you need something past that to control it?

i would forget about suspension and rims, first do the catback, high flow cat, AEM EMS, and AMS turbo kit(it comes with a 3in downpipe), btw you don't need 1000cc injectors - the car will idle horrable - 660 or 720 should be enough

If you are going all out, I would consider higher-lift cams and valvesprings/retainers to match, such as Jun, Piper or Tomei for cams and Ferrea for springs/retainers. Skip the HKS' as they might be a limiting factor with your set-up.

I'd budget some money for head work, if you are going to be inside your engine anyway.

Instead of HKS cam gears, consider a set with more than 3 bolts.

As someone else mentioned 1000cc's seem like overkill but I don't know what kind of airflow the GT3251 makes.

I based the injector size from this:

http://www.boostsolutionsinc.net/technical-injsize.htm

im shooting for 450 whp on 93 octane

Yeah ive already decided to get the cat back, aem ems, and possibly the 3" downpipe and 3" high flow cat. (Want them before the turbo kit?") Ill run just the 3" cat back until i can get the rest.

I'll get the headwork only if needed, from reading everyone elses posts on here I dont think it will be for my target hp (450 whp)
