cicadas + intercooler, grr

ahhhh stupid cicadas, since they decide they want to fly in front of my car whenever im driving there's quite a few that actually made it past my grill and are stuck to my intercooler. it's not hard to get them off my grill, but it's hard as s*** to get the ones that r stuck to my intercooler off.... any suggestions on how i m to go about doin this? any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

Jonathan

best thing to do is let them rot then you can wash them out . I had a few in mine and I did just that and wash them out.

be careful that your spray is not TOO strong or you can actually bend the intercooler blades... there is special spray to 'melt' bug guts etc... i'd use that.. also do you have chopsticks? you can stick it past the grill and wiggle the bugs out

Maybe cut out some window screen and put it over the grill?

Lightbulb WD-40 Non-stick spray?

I have never tried this, so test on a small area. I have heard of motorcycle riders spraying their engine fins with WD-40 to make them easier to clean after a ride.

This might work on the intercooler, or try PAM, and bring a plastic fork to remove the tasty high protein snack that you have roasted as you drive

All kidding aside some sort of light oil might help prevent the bugs from sticking to the aluminum. Since you are frying them with the heat from the intercooler.

Downside of this, is a possible increased mess from the oil.

ah chopsticks, that sounds like a good idea... i dont think i can just melt them outta there cuz it's not just guts that's on the intercooler, it's the actual bug's body itself, just chopped up from goin through the grill... ill try a couple ways you guys mentioned, thanks for the suggestions.
