One other good thing about having the factory RS bar- if you are considering autocrossing, no other bar mounted in this trunk location is legal for the ESP or StreetMod classes. Even if it uses the same mounting points, the Cusco or homemade bar is illegal for SCCA Solo 2. I confirmed this with the SCCA Tech Manager in writing. The same is true for the factory front strut bar. I was thinking about changing the factory triangulated strut bar with a titanium one and was told in writing by SCCA Solo2 that the factory bar cannot be replaced, even if the factory mounting points are used. This was debated and decided on the Mustang Cobra triangulated strut bar previously. Of course, this would probably only be detected at a serious event like a National Tour or Pro Solo.
